Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an Austrian composer, born in Salzburg, the son of violinist and composer Leopold Mozart. Mozart exhibited an extraordinary musical talent at the age of four. His father took him on a tour of Germany and to Paris and London, where he received adulation for his abilities. He was engaged as a court musician in Salzburg , but grew restless and traveled in search of a better position, always composing abundantly. He is among the most enduringly popular of classical composers. Mozart is basically the definition of musical genius / prodigy. He could listen to any song and play it note for note after listening to it once! Even
though he lived for only 35 years, he composed 626 works, including 41
symphonies, 23 operas, and 46 concertos. Beethoven and Bach were huge geniuses as well. I would argue that
either of them were greater composers than Mozart. This really gets
into a an argument a semantics about the definition of musical genius. What the people we sometimes call geniuses have in common, is drive
and determination, often good parenting, and the fact that they are
products of the social conditions of their time. All of this
was true for Mozart. His talent wasn't simply a gift from God, it was
the result of tremendously hard work.' Mozart's achievements were the combination of extraordinary natural gifts and dedication to his craft.'
“There's no such word as genius, it is just the combination of hard work and determination.” ― Lyza L. Matociños.
